Storage tanks can be underground or partially underground. Available in various shapes and sizes, they can be made from different materials, such as concrete or steel, depending also on the type of material they are intended to contain.

Silos
Like tanks, silos are one of the main storage systems. In particular, silos are suitable for storing bulk materials, granular substances, or powders. Silos can be prefabricated or built directly on site. Available in different sizes and capacities, they may have either a vertical or horizontal orientation.
Like tanks, silos can be made from different materials such as steel, concrete, or stainless steel.
In terms of flexibility regarding the quantity of stored material, silos are more efficient than tanks and can be adapted to a wide variety of requirements.

In particular, loading tanks can be equipped with 2 different handling systems to feed the dryers with the wet material to be dried:
- moving floor systems, with capacities from 5 to 1,000 m3, made of reinforced concrete, metal carpentry structures, or 20” and 40” containers
- screw bed systems, with capacities between 2 and 40 m3
- bag filters, completing the system in compliance with current regulations
All storage systems developed and manufactured by RP Engineering are fully customisable according to the customer’s specific requirements.
